Patriot Pulse percussion ensemble kicking off holiday vibes at GWES!

Our kindergartners shared their “Healthy Me” PBL Expo today. Each student chose an area of health: nutrition, exercise, sleep or germ prevention and worked on individual and group research. See their presentations to the community!

Ms. Burton is a fearless leader and has GWES running smoothly today. She has completed class walkthroughs and office duties, even took purchasing requests from teachers.#principalfortheday

It’s kickoff day for Gratitude Week! Today we are thankful for book characters we’ve met through reading!

It’s P.O.P. rally day(Power of Patriots)! We’ve got spirit, yes we do! Cheerleaders, drummers, games, and awards!

LCD Informance and PBL expo. Our related arts teachers planned a unit in which our students answer the question “How might we as students of a global school bring the culture of Spain to our community?” Well done teachers and students!

It’s been a big week! First our fifth grade PBL answered the question , “What circumstances push people to create new inventions?” After some project mentorship from TVA , our inventors investigated a problem in their lives and created prototypes to solve those problems. #design

Our first club day was a success! Finding a hobby, a passion or a career choice is valuable work. Comic writers, pen pals, reading buddies, and much more!

This new Patriot was showing SERVICE today and was recognized for his kind treatment of a friend! Good job buddy, we are proud of you!!!

Recognition for the hard work of students, teachers and parents. Well deserved Patriots. Our TENACITY and PERSONAL BEST helped us reach this goal.

If you haven’t noticed we have a great team of fifth graders showing SERVICE to others in the building. Handshakes, fist bumps, and escorts to class. They are the best!

What did you do today? Nothing much here… just built the walls for an entire house. Why? To remind ourselves of our commitment as public educators to have hope for our community.

Today our 5th grade student leaders helped every student contribute to making over 100 Rise and Shine Bags for a local shelter. Each bag includes hygiene items and encouraging quote! #patriotsserve

We are Wild About Reading over here on the hill. There’s a reading sheriff in town and several well dressed wranglers and cowpoke!
