Learning from Shakespeare’s own teacher, Master Jenkins, is one of the aspects our visitors most enjoy.  As well as the fun they have, the immersive experience helps them to imagine how school life would have been for young William.

Thank you to Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire Tim Cox who unveiled ‘The Seventh Tree’ - a sculpture by Jacob Eaves (12/W5) to commemorate the 70 year reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

In May 1923, with the support from the families of the Fallen and Old Edwardians Association, the School dedicated the Memorial Library. In that service they pledged that the thirty-one boys and one Master would not be forgotten. 100 years on we honoured that pledge.

#HistoryLovers #DYK that the Muniment Chest once held all the wealth & records of Stratford-upon-Avon. Dated c1450, it’s almost 1 metre wide & has 3 locks; the key for each would've been held separately by a different pillar of society. It was still in use until the 19th century.

@StratfordOnAvon @KES_Guildhall @Shakespeare I did consider taking the birch home to get my 10 year old to improve his handwriting but decided that along with the beer the school children drank at Shakespeares school it was better left in the past
