Another gem from Paul. This one came before he threatened me. I don't think he liked that I made fun of him, which is why he went on to threaten me by reporting me to the council.

This is what women have to deal with when we say that men are not women. Paul here isn't very bright though because firstly I'm not a councillor. I'm a counsellor. And secondly my "beliefs" (which are facts) are protected under the equality act. So he can report me to my professional body if he wants. They already FAFO though and they're now facing legal action as a direct result. Last summer 5 people complained to them and I was suspended. They later reinstated me because the complaints did not meet the criteria of a complaint. They are now refusing to send me all of the information that they hold about me under a subject access request in November and so I am about to start legal proceedings. Why do they not want me to see the 65 emails between themselves and 5 people who tried to ruin my career? What did they say about me in them?

Thank you. It won't cost much through the small claims court but this part was just information gathering so I could put in a full and robust complaint about what they did to me last summer.... So it depends what's in those emails. I mean, they might not say anything.... But maybe they prove that I was discriminated against.

Just grabbed five minutes to say thank you to everyone who’s supported my work via Buy Me A Coffee over the past week or so - it genuinely makes a difference. I’ve broken a couple of big stories recently, which has been hugely satisfying. But behind those 800 words or so is often weeks of work and research. As I joked to a friend recently, I could probably earn more working at Starbucks. My inbox is now full of people asking me to look into other things - which tells its own story. Returning to journalism after a break has felt surprisingly natural. The journalism skills are like riding a bike. The days sitting in my dressing gown until 4pm, eating custard creams and thinking, “I’ll just look at this one last thing…” are all too familiar. It’s the rest of it that takes time. Rebuilding contacts, getting 'known' again, and - at times - feeling a bit like the “work experience” girl. Again. I’m still figuring out the best way to support my work - Substack, podcast etc (I'm also working on a book) but in the meantime, the support is so valued. 🙏 While I'm not where I expected to be this time last year (especially the breast cancer part in the middle), I do feel like I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. @Derpetology101 Because like I said before I was talking about me and my experiences. Then you asked if I work with men. Then I told you about my work. Why are you being a dick?

@KODPOW Why are you bringing marketing into this? How hard would it have been not to exclude men from your statement? Perhaps you really market to feminists, for whom that really would be a selling point. Maybe there's a good reason men weren't interested in your services.

@Derpetology101 Yes I do work with men but my marketing is targeted at women. I tried targeting men in the past and they didn't want what I was offering. Is that ok with you or should I revise my business plan based on your perception? 🙄
