I think we all knew That Buc-ee’s was going to be a huge success. We’re their northern most store at this point and pretty much at the intersection of 70 and 75. What happened opening day was crazy though. Buc-ee’s has told us that the grand opening day numbers were better than any store they had ever opened on day 1! Buc-ee’s sales volume was over $1,000,000 on opening day. All the hotels from Huber to Miller Ln. were sold out over opening day weekend. There’s no true way to understand the overall economic impact this early, but there’s no doubt it’s going to be huge!!

Taxing non-income-producing property is wrong. Homeowners should not be forced to work to pay "rent" to the government for the privilege of living in their own homes. Property taxes should only be levied on income-producing property, as the income provides a means to pay the tax.

Another member of Congress facing heinous and disgusting sexual misconduct allegations and this time, it's Eric Swalwell. Four women. A former staffer says he raped her while she was heavily intoxicated and left her bleeding and bruised. Unsolicited nude photos. Sexual assault. One pattern. An alleged predator has no business serving in Congress. Eric Swalwell must RESIGN immediately. We tried to expose this kind of behavior in Congress. Our resolution to release congressional sexual harassment records was killed by BOTH parties, protecting themselves and their friends.
