It’s been so long since the days of waking up and being excited for a @NHLFlyers game. But we are there. I think it’s worth taking a moment and giving kudos to Danny Briere, Keith Jones and the team brass for staying the course. The youth movement has lived up to the bill. The Vladar signing was masterful. The Cutter drama is so far in the rear view. Even the decision to keep Ristolinan when everyone said the opposite. Whatever happens over the next week - let’s enjoy the ride because the broad street bullies are back!

Phillies claimed they shifted all the way to essentially run prevention, yet it’s game 4. They have benched their gold glove caliber second baseman twice because they ~need~ to give a utility guy reps in a platoon, and they are giving their 22-year-old rangy centerfielder a ~much~ needed day off which has resulted in roughly 4 runs added to this game for the Nats (so far) that simply wouldn’t have happened with Stott and Crawford in the lineup.
