9 years, 8 months & 6 days ago I sent out this mail. We've just launched our 10th cohort & @KamiLimu celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. I'm glad I didn't quit the many times I almost did. Now proud to say the org has outgrown me & its vision scaling across multiple hands.

We have now selected 40 mentees from 15 Kenyan universities after a rigorous 4-stage selection cycle that was supported by 60 of our alumni and mentors as essay reviewers and interviewers. This was our largest applicant pool yet, with a 72% increase in applicants compared to last year, all from 43 universities. We are glad that holistic out-of-classroom mentorship infrastructure is much sought after & needed! Congratulations to everyone selected! And thank you to our community who continue to give us strength and support. ✨

We pride ourselves in being an educational infrastructure right from the application stage. We give feedback to all the applicants on why they do not proceed to the next stage. We also share review metrics for essays & interviews to those who reach these selection stages, for their future learning. So whether or not an applicant is accepted into the program, we provide formative feedback to support skill development. ✨
