Sometimes observation is the best way to view progress. Tyler Johnson, a farmer in northwest Kansas, took a look at some of his fields and found evidence of soil biology at work. Examples include earthworms and saprophytic fungi working to break down milo residue. The soil biology is working to cycle nutrients and improve soil structure, leading to long-term productivity.
