After the MW only gets 1 bid to the NCAA, 5 teams end up in the NIT, tied for the most by a conference with the Atlantic 10. - New Mexico (23-10) - Nevada (22-12) - Colorado State (21-12) - UNLV (17-16) - Wyoming (18-14) SDSU reportedly declined an invitation to the NIT.

The Shockers were the 2-seed in the American, lost to USF today in the championship game 70-55. Before this, Wichita State’s last loss came on Feb. 11 to USF again. They also played 2 MW schools in Boise State (loss 62-59 in Idaho) and CSU (76-70 loss at the Battle 4 Atlantis).

The Lovell Bulldogs are the 2026 3A Boys Basketball State Champions! The Bulldogs defeated Douglas 57-54 in the title game. This is Lovell’s second consecutive state championship.

The Cody Fillies are the 2026 Wyoming 3A Girls Basketball State Champions! They defeated Lander 53-37 in the championship game. This is their first title since 2023.
