Wow! When even schools recognise that LTNs are a bad idea since they cause wider congestion which makes it more difficult for children to get to and from school you know that the whole LTN project was fatally flawed. RIP!

Let’s hope @JudiciaryUK sees sense and dismisses @SaveBGstreets appeal against the judge’s decision & the democratically elected mayor @LutfurRahmanTH when it goes back to court soon. Millionaire siblings of disgraced individuals can’t be allowed to overturn a democratic vote.

Shocking expose by @andrewellson in The Times of how LTNs and cycle lanes are paralysing bus transport in London boroughs. Hackney is singled out as on of the worst offenders, but Islington is probably just as bad. @RowChampion @Paul_Convery @UnaOHalloran

Interesting "unintended experiment" happening on Offord Road within the proposed Barnsbury.Laycock LTN, where closures for water works are already causing congestion on neighbouring boundary roads. Council please take note @RowChampion @Paul_Convery @IslingtonMayor

Oh God, not another one! Surely Islington Council realise by now that LTNs just don't work and we don't like them?

The Islington officer @Paul_Convery refers to is Matt Bononi who is hell-bent on LTNs which will discriminate against the disadvantaged (the old, infirm, or disabled), anyone living on a main road, and most small businesses. Why does he have such influence on a Labour Council?

And here's another monster LTN proposal under the joint control of Islington and Camden councils: keepislingtonmoving.com/dartmouth-park Their war on cars threatens to disrupt the free movement of people and goods throughout the whole of Islington and beyond. How do we stop this madness?

@SocEnvJustice Fantastic speech by Andrew Martin exposing the total failure of Islington Council's individual exemption policy to address the real harm which LTNs impose on disabled people. The only solution of course is to abandon LTNs altogether - they simply don't work.
