Life lessons for us here. No matter what never give in. Be this little boy, who refused to give up. Be his friends who encouraged him to keep going. Persevere with your challenges. You can do this.

ATTENTION SALARYPEOPLE Next Friday when your guaranteed monthly paycheck is deposited, take a moment of gratitude for the entrepreneurs who took the risks so you get this risk-free income. Shaming an risk-taker for losing money is like shaming a soldier for losing a limb.

REAL strength training is boring. It will consist of the same few movements, with slightly increasing loads, repeated for weeks at a time. You will rest a lot. You will need it. Flashy shirtless IG workouts will make you tired. They won't make you strong. Huge difference

Yeah, this sounds more like mindless grinding than being successful. You can work harder than everyone, but if you aren’t working on the right things, you’re essentially banging your head against the wall. Don’t just work hard - work SMART too!
Andrew@athlete_growth

Yeah let's not paint the picture of "very few friends" and "being misunderstood" as the price of being successful. A whole lot of BS on this app, where now we're essentially promoting stuff that has absolutely no correlation to being successful.

Be intentional with your influence today. Use it to build others up. 👉🏻 By the way, it doesn’t matter if you have 1 follower or 1 million, you do have influence. Your words and your actions matter. Choose them carefully. #BePositive

PSA FOR ATHLETES: Anyone can make you tired. But fatigue doesn’t necessarily help you achieve your performance goals. Performance training requires INTENTION and PURPOSE. Building athletes is an art and a science. Don’t be fooled into equating sweat 💧 with progress 📈.

@pneoa Agreed. Authenticity is key and it’s important to strike a balance with these things. Overall, recruits should be conscious of their social media presence while retaining personality, but should be wary of deriving identity from online interaction.

@KellyPierce54 Essentially, I believe your self-expression should be utility at the end of the day. If an employer/coach doesn't like what that entails, it's ultimately not a good fit and that's okay. But to try to funnel impressionable young men into "molds" becomes troublesome.

@pneoa Viewing SM as an extension of yourself causes ppl to compare their life with everyone else’s BEST version/snapshot of life, which isn’t healthy. Well-researched area. For that reason, I think we should teach kids to use SM for utility, not self expression.

@pneoa Fair points. I think you and I view social media differently. I do not believe that your socials should be an extension of your identity, I think socials are a tool to present yourself strategically to different social groups (coaches, jobs, peers).
