⚠️EMERGENCY ORDER: County Executive Samantha Kerkman has declared a State of Emergency in Kenosha County in response to the serious flooding that resulted from last week's heavy rain events. County staff will be in the field today, assessing the damage and determining next steps.

⚠️ Standing water has been reported on area roadways tonight, particularly in the area of the 500 block of Highway 45 in the Town of Paris. Please drive with caution, and do not drive into standing water if you encounter it.

🚧 ADVISORY: The intersection of Russell Road and 47th Avenue/Kenosha Road is set to close for 90 days beginning Monday, April 13, for the Lake County, Ill., Division of Transportation's installation of a roundabout. Detour details are on the map ⬇️

🔥 BURN NOTICE: Prescribed burns of prairie land on the grounds of the Kenosha County Center in Bristol and at Pringle Nature Center in Bristol Woods Park will begin at 1 p.m. today. Please do not be alarmed if you see smoke in these areas.

🚧 ADVISORY: Kenosha County Highway E is scheduled to be closed at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing just west of Highway 32 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Thursday, April 9, for crossing repair work. Highway A (Seventh Street) is the recommended alternate for through traffic.
