The main villains in #Obsession was Ian and Nikki . Yes Nikki lost control of her own body but I personally believe the first 20 mins of the movie is extremely important . We come to find out later that Nikki and Ian were actually dating. It’s also clear that Bear has had feelings for Nikki for a LONG TIME . That would mean #Bear’s best friend knowingly told him to tell her how he felt expecting him to get turned down. Nikki on the other hand literally asked “Bear … Do you like me”? She had already talked to Sarah about Bear being “just like a brother “ . She was stringing Bear along. She liked having someone be obsessed with her . To me this realization makes the ending 10x better .

This conflates cause with influence. Ian sucks and we know this but to say that Bear wouldn’t have made that wish or have even thought about it is severely underestimating how horrible of a person Bear was.

Bear did nothing wrong. He only wished to be loved as much as he loved her. Nikki suffering in hell or whatever is the only foul play I see.
