OpenAI just released Sora 2 and it's completely nuts🤯
It can create hyper-realistic UGC-style ads in seconds...
...if you know how to prompt it.
Perfect for e-commerce operators & ad agencies who need endless UGC content to test and iterate.
Each Sora 2 video looks nearly indistinguishable from real UGC and can be generated at scale.
Just follow this workflow and get near-perfect UGC videos with your product in seconds.
→ Research trending UGC videos in your niche
→ Analyze winning patterns with Google Gemini
→ Use Gemini to write a UGC script for Sora 2
→ Upload your product reference image to Sora 2
→ Get hyper-realistic UGC-style videos instantly
I recorded a 9-minute Loom video breaking down my entire process, including the prompts.

@codyplof Ethos of why I started my company! It’s about movement.

3 of my 4 workouts so far this week:
1. 45 min Ruck with my toddler in her stroller because she woke up at 6:00am
2. 35 min garage lift with my toddler watching YouTube on my phone when she woke up at 6:15 am the next day
3. Body weight circuit on a docked on boat after she fell asleep on the boat today
Gotta take it where you can get it

I used to have the Sunday Stressors. Anxiety and overwhelm about all the things to do.
Time for a rebrand Sunday Stressors. We’re going Sunday Smiles and this clip is bringing it!

Ad creative is my main focus for pulling growth levers right now (Longer term it's product). Here are a bunch of random thoughts from this week:
1. Volume is key. Everyone knows that. I was very late to the game getting that; and we crushed with low volume for a while. It's a lot easier to say you need volume; it's another thing to build the systems to repeatedly pump out the volume needed.
2. To help with volume, we've brought on a team of 4-5 remote video editors. Found a great recruiter through Propell to fill all these roles, DM me if anyone wants an intro (not sponsored). We could do US but we'd have budget for 1-2 editors. Quality is no different at all.
3. We hired a Senior Director of Creative Strategy from a well known DR agency. She was our best hire of the year; we're going to hire a strategist under her. DMs open if you know anyone.
4. Bringing on 3-4 creative agencies. I've been very underwhelmed with some of the big name agencies we have worked with; so we've stopped working with most of them. Have done a ton of vetting and getting referrals. The key here is we're not trying to bring on multiple UGC agencies that will fight it out; we're bringing on agencies with very different skillsets.
5. We're pushing the boundaries on what we are comfortable with from the brand side in the name of creative diversity. I think the typical notion of "on brand" creative in an AI fed delivery mechanism is outdated. You have to have your don'ts of what you won't say and you still need to signal prestige or luxury if you are; but you also need to lean into social trends if you're a DTC brand.
6. Deep Research does about half of what a creative strategist can do. I'm less impressed for using AI for generating assets, but it is amazing and game changing for doing research. While using it for a production this week, I was able to get pain points, awareness and sophistication levels, unique mechanisms, core desires, and more for all of our top personnas in a matter of minutes. I then have a strategist I can chat with to brainstorm. I won't ever make an ad again without doing this. I can't understate how important this part is; the most important part of creative strategy has historically been the most boring and time intensive, it's now easy and automated and likely better than most humans would do.
7. @alexgoughcooper has some of the best content on Youtube on Creative Strategy right now. Also doing really cool stuff with AI.
8. I've made my team move away from multivariate testing while controlling single variables on static ads. It's overkill. I want to see unique concepts where the copy, image, and offer all match each other.
9. The Motion AI agents are cool. Highly recommend playing with them.
10. Ad creative costs should be thought of as CAP EX (and a lot of it can be capitalized). We're putting a few million into brick and mortar build outs this year. We should be putting the same into ad creative cap ex. It's funny how much more likely I am to want to invest into it if it's cap ex vs an operation expense.
11. Getting back to doing one internal shoot every other month; and going to push it to one a month at least by the end of the year.
No idea if this is helpful or not but some random brain dumping this Friday morning.

I’ve always integrated my daughter in Equipt. At times it was necessary, at times it was choice. Always there have been so many rewards in talking about inventing products and growing a company, letting her see how Mama does it. Thank you @dreamyhumans for highlighting !

I recently moved back to my hometown of Ojai, was needing to slow down and spend more time in nature for our whole family. Already have felt a massive reset!

I had an emotional viewing of Bad Boys 4. You’ll think this previous sentence is silly, funny, whatever, but it’s my favorite movie franchise, my brother’s favorite movie franchise and I don’t have a lot of time left with him and we just loved every second of it. Thanks @BadBoys
