I had a fruitful conversation with Mr. Passang Gyali Sherpa, and Mr. Sonam Sherpa at Gangtok today. We discussed various issues concerning the welfare of the people and our shared interest to make Sikkim safe and prosperous again.

Several declarations were made yesterday for the Chalak community in Sikkim by @PawanKChamling yesterday during a program by @official_sdf : 10 lakh ex gratia , 5 lakh grant annually for Drivers Associations, reinstating Sikkim’s state motor vehicle act to name a few.

Today morning, I made a courtesy visit to HE the Governor of Sikkim at Raj Bhawan. We discussed the progress of the state, the ensuing political violence and the failure of law and order in Sikkim. Such crime and instability in our border state is a danger to national security.
