Common man.. Kantara & Avatar comparison seriously??
Kantara & Avatar are completely new worlds for a common man.. Hence, world building is needed..
A tribal unidentified village is pretty general knowledge in india.. Film makers can’t spoon feed everything in a 3hr movie just because you lack general knowledge.. More fair criticism should be “Director should have concentrated more on showing more day to day struggles of them instead of taking a commercial route with love track in first half” Apart from that movie is pretty good and on point..

Seeing lots of comments saying there are many such places where people live in harsh conditions and it's mirroring reality. I get that and there are many examples. But this is a movie and you can't assume that the audience will automatically empathise because the hero is from there. We need to be given some insights into what keeps them there. That's why I gave the examples of Kantara and Avatar - there's some deep rooted mythology or emotional connect to the place and that's why such places exist. No such backstory or justification was given for the people in this place and that's the fundamental drawback I am speaking about and not refuting the fact that such places do exist.
