@NornQueenKya The 10 times the price thing would be true if they used cheap labour to make the minis, however virtually all of their production happens in the UK, where they have to pay their many workers a decent wage. It's more like 2x the price of production, which of course is still a lot.

@KingFanMan Yeah an optional filter lazy devs are gonna rely on instead of making decent looking games or having any semblance of stylistic choice. Not only will it be terribly optimised, but it'll look like shit too

Have you noticed, 99% of why people are hating on DLSS5 hasn’t happened yet. “Oh this is only the start of AI this or that” or their favorite “AI slop ruining games” No it’s not ruining anything and No you don’t know that. It’s an OPTIONAL filter under the artists control.

@SofiaSyscoin @TheStebe @ctnzr Oh and also, coming back to my main issue, this technology currently requires 2 5090s to get playable framerates. This is gonna be like raytracing with the 20 series but 50x worse, almost nobody is actually gonna be able to run this even if they wanted to.

I bet if this crap becomes widespread those people are gonna be forced to make things below their standard to meet deadlines.

It became the standard. Every time Nvidia ships something new, gamers riot. Every time, two years later, they can't live without it.. 8,000 people liked a reply saying "this looks horrifically bad." The same people will pre-order the GPU that runs it.. Nvidia didn't become a $3 trillion company by listening to reply guys... They became one by being right before everyone else was ready. Hate it now. Beg for it later. That's the Nvidia cycle.
