This is for my real hoopers: This workout is at Kobe's old gym, Mamba Sports Academy. If that's not enough of a good sign, it's also the gym where Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Maxey hosted their pre-draft workouts. And, years before, it's where Trae Young prepped for his draft workouts. I say all that to say, some auspicious NBA history in that gym. Good signs for Wilson, ha!

Labaron Philon film study 🎥 He controls the game with pace using his BTB speed stop to change pace, create space, and read the defense. Then he uses timing to initiate contact on bigs, taking away their ability to jump and finishing through contact. True 3-level scorer 📝

UConn has used middle third pin-downs flowing into Tarris Reed Jr. post ups this season. The middle third catch makes it extremely difficult for the defense to help, especially with shooters spaced in both corners. Advantage is created before the ball even hits the post.

Love how Duke used Cam Boozer as the handler in inverted ball screens. Physical downhill driver as the handler + shooter as the screener will cause mismatches and constant pressure on the defense. I’m actively looking to pursue the right GA opportunity for the 26/27 Season 📲

Brewster Academy coach Jason Smith will be joining forces with another prep school legend, John Carroll, at the brand-new Masters Academy International, sources told @thefieldof68. Smith, 52, who has more than 700 career wins, has won 7 New England Prep titles and 7 National Prep Championships, will be the head coach of the scholastic team. Smith, who arrived at Brewster in 2000, has coached 25 NBA players in his tenure, and more than 200 Division 1 players. Carroll, 55, who has 6 New England Championships and 2 National Prep Titles while at Northfield Mount Hermon and the Newman School, was named the Director of Basketball in mid-February. Carroll won 370 games as head coach at NMH, and quickly built the Newman School into a power in the last four years. The Masters Academy International will open in September of 2026 in Stow, Mass.

Wally Szczerbiak wanted to workout, but his trainer couldn’t because he had a clinic for elementary-aged girls. Wally showed up and participated in the clinic with the girls. He was an NBA All-Star. It doesn’t matter who is in the gym. Get your reps.
