I appreciate much that the Trump administration has done to recognize our historical Christian roots and acknowledge how important those values and virtues are going to be to keeping America strong. But as much as we appreciate President Trump, we should never liken him to our savior. Trump needs Jesus as much as we all do.

I genuinely feel really bad for Jaden Ivey. The human mind is such a beautiful yet fragile thing. Trauma can quite literally rewire your brain and change who you are as a person. I wish even more was invested into sports psychology. When you think of trauma, a sports injury might not be the first thing you think of but it still can have a deep mental impact just the same. 5th overall pick, uber athletic kid with what seems like the world ahead of him. No fault of his own and with what seems like just horrible luck, an injury shuts the door on everything he had envisioned. It had to have really messed him up and in the process of trying to process this sudden change, something went wrong and he’s really struggling. It doesn’t give an excuse to what he’s saying, but when people are in a mental health crisis they sometimes say, and do harmful things that they otherwise wouldn’t. I truly hope he’s able to get the help he needs, and can come back from this.
