Leicester HS Guidance

On Friday, we hosted our annual college fair where we had over 60 post-secondary options in attendance. All juniors and seniors had the opportunity to speak to admission reps.

The guidance staff is happy with our new home at LHS South. Even though we have a new location, we’ve been just as busy working with and helping students during the first few days of school. It’s going to be a great year…GO WOLVERINES!!

We visited grade 10 classes this week to complete a personality survey based on the Meyers-Briggs personality test which linked students with careers that may fit them best. Mr. Barry is an ESFJ. Mr. Bowes an ESTJ.

Congratulations to Erin Brown (our student intern) who was inducted into the National Honor Society last night. She is pictures with Ms. Morales, our guidance secretary, and Erin’s sponsor. The impact they both have in our school is impeccable. Great job!!!

Thank you to Jason Walker from @Quinsig for meeting with many of our students during "Instant Decision Day". During these meetings, students provided a completed application, transcript and asked questions about QCC's programming. Congratulations to those who were accepted!

Happy Birthday to our student intern, Erin!!! She helps out with many tasks in the guidance office each day and meets students every day with a smile. Thank you for everything buoy do!!!

This week, we went into junior classrooms to have the students complete the Myers-Briggs personality test in Naviance. Based on the results, we started discussing what career and postsecondary options are best for each student. Great job @lhs_2023 !!!!

It’s great to see Marissa Gebhardt (‘21) who’s at Norwich University here at LHS recruiting prospective students to her school. She is majoring in nursing with a minor in leadership. She’s also look for enlist in the army. Great job!!!
