@felicitydevere @RCoANews Agree with this thread wholeheartedly. Am currently in NZ with other half who didn't get an anaesthetics training job 12 mths ago. Since our move out here he's been offered a training job here AND they will count his previous yrs experience in UK to shorten training time.

Today 350 anaesthetists, trained purely in anaesthesia for the last 3 years, were turned down for the next stage of anaesthetics training in the UK. This is despite @RCoANews stating there is a "current shortage of 1400 anaesthetists in the UK"...🧵
