So @LPWICHAIR is taking advantage of one of our members being incapable of responding to push through a policy specifically targeting that individual, this would now be the 5th action party leadership has taken against this member for accounts completely unaffiliated with @LPWI

Threatening to punish people for content they post on private accounts where they don't explicitly identify as a leader of @LPWI or speaking on behalf of LPWI would be pretty wild if it wasn't a repeated pattern conducted by @LPWICHAIR and the majority faction on the state excom board, they don't even try to hide it anymore because nobody outside of @WisconsinMises is speaking out about how wrong this is

You can’t dismiss alternative candidates as “non-viable” while also supporting barriers that make political competition harder in the first place.

Measures like Wisconsin’s out-of-state petition circulator ban hurt third-party and independent candidates far more than Republicans or Democrats, who already have massive institutional advantages.

Libertarian Party WI
Police State Camera Systems and ALPRs By Jeff Kortsch LPWI Contributor Benjamin Franklin, in a 1755 letter to the Pennsylvania Assembly, famously said, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Local governments and makers of automated license plate readers (ALPRs) believe you should give up some of your liberty for the possibility of a little safety. They say the devices help police solve crimes. That may be true but at what cost? Should the government be able to track your movements around the country by reading your license plate, storing identifying information about the make, model, color, and distinguishing features like political bumper stickers and keeping that information in a database where anyone with access can see it? What is done with that information and who has access to it? What government entities is that information shared with? In the case United States v. Jones, the US Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the government’s installation of a GPS tracking device on the vehicle of Antoine Jones to track his movements for 28 days constituted an illegal search under the Fourth Amendment. Today, ALPRs can track your vehicle without coming anywhere near it and you get to pay for it. Where did you go today? How long were you there? Did you pass a place where a crime was committed several times even though you had nothing to do with the crime? If this sounds to you like Big Brother in George Orwell’s book “Nineteen Eighty-Four” or something the KGB did in the Soviet Union or the Stasi did in East Germany, it does to me too. Government should not be able to keep track of your whereabouts if you haven’t committed a crime, are not in the process of committing a crime or are not about to commit a crime. The CEO of Flock Safety, Garrett Langley, said recently in an interview with Forbes that those who are keeping track of where ALPRs are installed, such as the website deflock.me, are “terroristic organizations”. Keeping track of how and where government is surveilling you does not make them a terrorist. After the revelations of Edward Snowden, the ship has sailed on calling those who are against mass government surveillance a “terrorist”. Use tools like deflock.me, atlasofsurveillance.org from the Electronic Frontier Foundation and plateprivacy.com from the Institute for Justice to see where there are ALPRs installed and report new ones that have been recently installed. If your local government is considering installing ALPRs, get involved in the process if they are doing the consideration in public. If your local government already has ALPRs installed, find out more information with open records requests on what is in the contract, what the cost to taxpayers is, how the data access is granted and who the data is shared with. Don’t give up some of your liberty for the promise a little more safety.

Aloha, esteemed members of the LP, 🕊 This is a message of hope. 🕊 — Not despair — This message was originally sent on the LNC public list, but is being actively suppressed from public view by @StevenNekhaila, who, in retaliation for exposing his misconduct, is now falsely claiming to have removed me from the LNC as a director on a bare whim, despite the fact that I was elected as a member of the LNC by the states of Region 1. Even so, I still want to share this censored political truth with all of you: The enemies and opponents of Liberty, even within our own ranks, are not just "going away". Some may eventually face consequences for misbehavior, sure. But most can stick around if they choose to.  We can't let resentment and anger about their hateful actions dominate us. We have build up and move forward. We have to be willing to forgive, and to try to bring people around, if possible.  Sadly, it is not always possible, and we find ourselves in conflict — when this happens, how we conduct ourselves and treat others becomes even more important.  It's a difficult balance between standing up for what is right versus being able to work together and move on.  The KEY 🔑 unifier of the LP is the NAP. This is where we come together in agreement for where we can draw these lines and live together even with extreme disagreements.  This is what historically has brought us together: a beautiful philosophy that can connect even people of radically different persuasions.   To keep the NAP, we must uphold the NAP and hold one another to the Pledges we all made. We can forgive and restore where appropriate — just as we must also impose consequences to uphold it, where appropriate.  Those who embody the NAP, if in trespass, will not double down. They will turn back. If caught in a mistake, they will correct it. If caught with untruth, they seek the truth and repair the damage done by deception. They do not silence those who pointed out their transgression; but rather they thank them and try to do better. This is what God commands of us toward one another, and what our consciences demand — at least for those of us who live by the NAP.  This is our common ground, and this is the ONLY thing I am calling true libertarians to circle the wagons around, because the very core of our philosophy is under direct attack. If we cannot overcome the division to protect and uphold the NAP, then we are truly lost.  But I believe we can. Where it is right, we should grant forgiveness, and where it is right, we must uphold our standards — equally. @marthanoir39 @Phil_Rein @AustinShiloh1 @StevenNekhaila Lie? Mc has no candidates for any level office in Wisconsin. Any endorsement for your LNC candidates? Complete hypocrisy. Vote totals this year, and last year at convention dont lie. Unless you want to believe everyone who didn't support MC at convention is a conspiracy?

Yeah that's a whole big ass paragraph to drop hollow threats You anti-MC types took over the Wisconsin state excom at the state convention following Trump's election Since taking over statewide participation has completely tanked. We have 0 statewide candidates running, and 0 who want to run in the near future for these people. They're so concerned with national and making sure the MC loses beaureaucratic positioning that they're absolutely tanking the party at the local level, ya know the level we're actually relevant at But hey good for you and whatever you THINK you're accomplishing
