This week, our Chair Barbara Mills KC and our Chair of the Young Barristers' Committee Lachlan Stewart went on their first circuit visit of the year to the Wales and Chester Circuit. We were delighted to meet our members - from pupils to silks - as well as judges to discuss a range of issues affecting the Bar and the justice system. We discussed the Leveson review, Pathfinder courts, career progression, the court estate and much more... We also visited the Civil Justice Centres in Cardiff and Swansea as well as the Crown Court in the capital where we met with the Solicitor General, Attorney General and more members of the Bar and Judiciary. A big thank you to the Wales and Chester Circuit Leader Caroline Rees KC and all the team for a brilliant, informative visit, and to Angel, 9 Park Place, Apex and 30 Park Place chambers for meeting with us.
