#LasAnod has always been the #epicenter of #Somali patriotism. From the #Darwish resistance that waged one of #Africa’s most formidable anti-colonial struggles, to the #Qalas generation that decisively buried the #secessionist project at #Goojacadde in 2023, LasAnod remains the crucible where #Somali sovereignty is defended and renewed. Today, a political seismic is unfolding in #Northern #Somalia. The President @HassanSMohamud of the Federal Republic is on the ground in #LasAnod, backed by clear regional and international legitimacy. He is joined by the #Saudi Ambassador to Somalia, the #Turkish Ambassador, delegations from #Kenya, the #Djiboutian Ambassador, #Egypt, a #Sudanese delegation. The message could not be clearer: #Somalia is united, sovereign, and internationally recognized. For secessionists, this is a disastrous day, their narrative is collapsing in real time, in the very city that has crushed their every attempt to divide the #Somali nation.

I exposed the global Epstein sex trafficking ring and insisted that Congress debate and authorize any possible war with Iran (to protect our soldiers), and here’s the response. It’s why so many Congressmen, Republican and Democrat, are afraid to take action on several issues.

President Trump treats those who support him the most like crap. Thomas’s wife voted for him 3 times. She’s not a “radical left flamethrower.” And Thomas Massie votes with the President 91% of the time, but won’t vote to protect Epstein’s sick pedophile and rapists friends or send American’s hard earned tax dollars to Israel’s wars or any other foreign country. The President should be more concerned with voters, who put him in office, like Thomas Massie’s wife, not super rich donors and their favorite foreign countries and business demands. Losing elections to Democrats in super red districts, like TX senate, where Trump endorsed, should be sending warning alarms across the President’s desk. But instead he’s attacking REPUBLICAN Thomas Massie with one of the most conservative voting records in the House and his new wife with a three time MAGA voting record. And all the weak Republicans in the House stay silent refusing to utter even a word of support for their “friend” Thomas Massie. Shame on every one of you. Cowards. You make me sick.
Thomas Massie@RepThomasMassie

So now he’s attacking my wife who voted for him three times. Maybe someone told him she’s actually the one who suggested I ask Pam Bondi in person at a dinner when we would get Phase 2 of the Epstein files. Bondi said there were no more files. As they say, the rest is history.

The Epstein Files repeatedly reference Somaliland, reinforcing its reputation for strong governance, security, and economic potential. In 2011, one associate described Somaliland as “incredible,” contrasting it sharply with the “chaos” in Somalia. The files highlight proposed investments, including “Somaliland Studios” for film production across Africa and the Arab world, promising oil exploration, and international development inquiries - signaling rare global interest now beginning to bear fruit. Economically, Somaliland’s private sector - led by Telesom, Dahabshiil, and Daallo Airlines - demonstrates tangible capacity and opportunity. Abdikarim Mohamed Eid, Managing Director of Telesom, said: “I have built a successful business here and want to expand it in the region… But how can I do that if the government is not recognized?” The files also expose Somalia’s persistent governance failures - weak institutions, corruption, and low public trust - underscoring the contrast with Somaliland. These revelations show the international community’s growing recognition of Somaliland’s stability, potential, and the crucial role of global partners in supporting its statehood. #EpsteinFiles #Somaliland #HornOfAfrica

One critical point that you overlooked is that the so-called “Somaliland” secessionist authorities themselves committed grave atrocities in Las Anod in 2023, not in the 1980s. For eight months, the city was subjected to unabated and indiscriminate shelling, resulting in the killing and maiming of thousands of civilians and the displacement of more than 250,000 people. Yet despite the scale and recency of these crimes, the people of the North Eastern regions have not allowed these atrocities to harden into collective grievance or justify retaliatory violence.

One of the loudest moral pillars the separatists in Somaliland have leaned on is the horrific suffering of Hargeisa in 1988, but when Israel recognizes Somaliland and Somaliland rushes to celebrate, that entire narrative collapses under its own weight. How can anyone still claim “we were massacred, so we seceded” while openly embracing a state accused of genocide in Gaza, a state whose actions have wiped out entire families and erased whole neighborhoods? How do you preach victimhood while unleashing indiscriminate shelling and massacres on Laas Anod, and while turning a blind eye to the hundreds, if not thousands, killed by the SNM in Awdal and the inter-SNM wars that swallowed entire communities? Yes, the former military regime, where many of today’s Somaliland leaders once held power, committed brutal and unforgivable human rights violations during its clash with the SNM, but past suffering does not give anyone the moral license to tear apart the Somalia Republic. In the end, the sheer double standard, the selective memory, and the celebration of a power accused of genocide only reveal how shockingly hollow the biggest victimhood narrative truly is.

Citing the #Epstein files as evidence of #Somaliland’s legitimacy is not just illogical, it’s disgusting and discrediting. Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted #pedophile and criminal fixer. His interest, praise, or speculative investment talk does not confer legitimacy, recognition, or moral standing. It signals the opposite: vulnerability to illicit influence as it’s documented in #Abaarso (#Fahima) There is nothing positive, morally, politically, or legally, about invoking Epstein to argue for statehood. When your argument for statehood relies on a convicted pedophile’s interest, you haven’t proven legitimacy, you’ve exposed a credibility problem.

Nairobi has a special breed of hustlers. Not your kawaida conmen. These ones move like diplomats, talk like lawyers, dress like CEOs, and sell gold that doesn’t exist. No rituals. No Yahoo boys. Just optics. Because in the gold game, what you see is what traps you. 1KG of gold ≈ Ksh 10M. So if someone tells you they can sell you 10–30Kgs, they must look like money. And in Nairobi, looking like money is a science. Step one: Appearance. Suits. Clean shoes. Soft voice. Executive drip. Seeing is believing. Step two: The illusion of wealth. Luxury cars. High-end restaurants in Kilimani Your mind already starts cooperating with the lie. Then comes security. Bodyguards. Big men standing quietly, scanning the room. In Kenya, umaharufu + security = authority. And authority builds trust faster than facts. Next layer: Connections. Photos with “very important people.” Government events. Conferences. Handshakes. Most of these pictures are innocent… But in your mind they scream: “Huyu ako connected. Haezi kuwa con.” That’s the trap. Now the real game begins: the story. You’re told about Congo, Mobutu, UN reports and smuggling routes via Uganda & Kenya History is weaponized. Facts are mixed with fiction until you can’t separate the two. Documents appear. Stamped. Typed. Complicated. UN letters. Trade permits. Export approvals. All fake but official enough to slow your brain. As you read, your attention is deliberately overloaded with technical gold talk- Purity, Artisanal mines and refining standards You stop questioning. You start imagining profits. Then comes the visit. A “refinery.” A demo. Fire. Machines. Tests. One small sample passes. Your brain concludes: “If one is real, all must be real.” That assumption will cost you millions. Now comes the first payment. Transport. Logistics. Escrow. Lawyers. You’re relaxed because: “There’s a lawyer” “The money is safe” “It’s just facilitation” But the lawyer is part of the play. Your first payment? That’s their salary. Politics now enters the chat. Names are dropped. Security is “handled.” Taxes. Customs. Levies. Some names are fake. Some are very real. Either way, you feel protected. Boxes arrive. Heavy. Metallic. Sealed. One box is tested. The rest are assumed to be the same. Inside? Stones. Scrap metal. Anything with weight. Your trust fills in the gaps logic should occupy. Final payment is demanded. Export is “in progress.” Boxes are “at JKIA.” Then silence. Then a call: “There’s an emergency levy.” You pay. And just like that, your gold turns into air. Meanwhile, the scammers are in clubs, at showrooms, buying Bentleys “for errands.” Living loud. Spending fast. Cleaning the money is easy. Some join politics. Some run entertainment companies. Concerts. Tickets. Campaigns. Dirty money walks into society wearing a suit. THE REAL LESSON Gold scams don’t succeed because victims are stupid. They succeed because confidence is louder than truth. If a deal relies more on lifestyle, intimidation, urgency and “Connections” than verifiable systems, walk away! Gold doesn’t rush you. Scammers do. I hope you learnt something.

Here are the facts: #Britain colonists never dealt with a unified authority representing northern #Somalia. Instead, British colonial administrators signed separate treaties with distinct and sovereign clans. Notably, the #Dhulbahante clan rejected colonial rule outright and mounted one of Africa’s most sustained and formidable anti-colonial resistance movements, lasting more than three decades. Therefore, a single clan-based administration in #Hargeisa has neither the mandate nor the legitimacy to secede or to seek international recognition on behalf of all of northern #Somalia, particularly when it exercises no effective control over 45% of the territory it claims on paper. The colonial record itself is unequivocal, as demonstrated by the existence of separate protectorate agreements concluded with different clans. Facts do not yield to fantasy!

My latest article ✍️ Somaliland and the missed opportunity: Secession, International Law and the stance of the African Union “During the colonial scramble for Africa in 1884, Somali territories were divided, leading to the establishment of French Somaliland along the coast of Djibouti, British Somaliland in the north, and Italian Somaliland in the south. British Somaliland functioned as protectorates, in plural form, until 1960, governed under six different protectorate agreements, which recognized Isaaq, Warsangeli, Easa, and Gadabursi clans. The claim that it was a single entity under one protectorate agreement is entirely false.   The British Library holds original treaties signed between the British Government and various Somali clans in the 1880s, which led to the establishment of the Protectorates in Northern Somalia. These agreements—made with clans such as the Habr Awal, Gadabursi, Eesa, Habr Gerhajis, Habr Toljaala, and Warsangeli—are preserved as colonial records and can be accessed through the Library’s archives and related collections.” @Wardheernews @AweysOMohamoud @AbdinasirSola @ismailwarsame @AbdelkarimHass @HoehneVirgil wardheernews.com/somaliland-and…
