He gives them steady wing scoring when the offense gets stuck, can hit open shots, and doesn’t need the ball all the time to be effective. That’s perfect for how the Lakers are built. He also defends multiple positions and just plays simple, solid basketball that works in playoff games. He already proved he fits in LA. Just bring him back!!💜💛

I’d like to see the Lakers bring Marcus Smart back. He brings toughness, defense, leadership, and just that edge every team needs. He guards multiple positions, plays hard every possession, and does all the little things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet but matter in winning.

That “too old” argument is kinda lazy tbh. Marcus Smart still brings defense, toughness, and leadership every time he’s on the floor. That’s the type of vet you want on a contender, not just someone putting up numbers. Age doesn’t really matter when he’s still impacting winning like that.
