A genuinely “ambitious” plan would be for Labour to announce a referendum on whether the UK should open negotiations on re-entry to the EU, promising a general election to secure a mandate to implement the proposal should the British public vote in favour. theguardian.com/politics/2026/…

Brexit diehards raging at the EU marmalade renaming is both hilarious and exposing… CITRUS SPREAD Citrus spread is all they’ve managed to get angry about after years of hunting for outrage …and then they even got that wrong Imbeciles.

We read here of how Labour are intending to introduce "plans" for the "mechanism of alignment" with a view to the much hoped-for UK-EU "reset" (you know, the one supposed to happen last year ?🤡) STOP ALL THIS PUSSYFOOTING AROUND AND JUST BUNG "REJOIN" IN YOUR NEXT MANIFESTO ! (Btw we read far less, if anything, of said "reset" this side of the Channel🤡)

🚨Remember that Brexit deal Johnson rushed to sign with Australia which even the Tories admitted was "not actually a very good deal" selling out UK farmers ? Well the EU just got a better deal… Time to #ExitBrexit

will forever be remembered as the most stupid thing any country ever did to itself. As one Tory MP at the time said post referendum 'If we don't leave EU it will destroy the Tory party forever' 'If we do leave ..it will destroy the country' . Looks like it has done both
Resolution Foundation@resfoundation

Brexit has likely done more economic damage than feared. Recent evidence suggests the economic cost of Brexit may be approaching twice the 4% impact assumed by the OBR. The Chancellor has signalled a shift in approach to EU trade, but the effect will depend on how far the govt goes on alignement.

"British farmers are furious as EU gets a better trade deal with Australia, looking with envy at its terms, blaming Johnson for prioritizing speed over safeguards" Not much mention of the 🇪🇺🇦🇺deal in UK media. One wonders why 🤡 Brexit, never knowingly in the UK's interests 👇

Oh and by the way. EU citizens will potentially now have 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 rights to live & work in Australia (not age-restricted & for a longer time) than British people do under Johnson's rushed and botched deal Brexit, never knowingly in British people's interests
Alex Taylor@AlexTaylorNews

Australians can now live & work freely in the EU for 4 years and vice versa That means they now have 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 EU rights than British people. Free movement offered millions of us fantastic opportunities but Brexiteers slammed that door shut, most shamefully on their own children

A challenging feat but I think he's done it! Andrew Griffith MP has written the most inaccurate paragraph on trade since 2016. Where "great many" = 3, "Many" = 1, CPTPP did not open new markets, the EU doesn't want to join, and Aus / NZ FTAs did not significantly open up trade
