In 2019, Harper inked the largest contract in @MLB history. After 2028, he will be the 5th highest paid Phillie. It is one thing to have Trout, Ohtani, and Soto reset the market, and another to make less than Nola and Luzardo. Something has to give. @JackFritzWIP @JoeDeCamara

@AfternoonsWIP Mariano had 31 postseason saves recording MORE than 3 outs. He's the gold standard and a unicorn, of course. Maybe the question is how capable is Duran to come in a get a crucial last out to quell an 8th inning rally and still pitch the 9th, especially to close out a series?

The fact that HARRISON BADER is their best OF is exactly the problem here. This is a lineup that needs to go against multiple elite bullpens and rotations in the NL in October and they have the worst offensive outfield in baseball. This all started with the horrible offseason they had.

The Phils will not miss Bohm one bit. He will be easy to replace. Anyone can hit 44 doubles and knock in 10 more runs than Harper. Amen."

@FairmountJack @FranzkeLA Great comparison. One burned and crashed. One just appeared in an All-Star game and posted consecutive 97 RBI seasons. None of those runs knocked in helped his team. Not one of them. I cannot continue this if your replies are this weak. I will write one more post for you...

@FairmountJack @FranzkeLA So a bidding war for a 31 year old? Sounds good. Give him 4-5 years so he can decline in step with the rest of that aging roster. Did you look at the rest of the 3B FA market? It is brutal. Still didn't see your trade idea? Bohm stinks, so what, give him away?
