Rockstar news feels so dry right now: - GTA Online’s summer DLC hasn’t been announced yet - We haven’t seen RDR2’s long rumored next-gen upgrade - It’s been 400+ days since the last GTA 6 trailer and counting - People posting fake AI generated gameplay videos The good news is marketing kicks off sometime this summer, so we shouldn’t have to wait much longer for a new trailer.

Rockstar has made an official public GTA VI-related change today. The studio moved the 'grand-theft-auto-vi' channel on its Discord server into a newly created category titled 'Grand Theft Auto VI'. Before the update, the channel was grouped under the broader 'Rockstar Games' category. While small, it is the first official GTA VI-related action Rockstar has taken publicly since announcing the game's delay to November.

@AlexTownley227 Strauss Zelnick has stated that GTA 6’s marketing campaign will be completely different from previous Rockstar games. We can expect anything.

Trailer 3 will drop when player morale is at its lowest, at the most unexpected moment. Rockstar will release a trailer that settles the debate once and for all. Late July feels like the right window to me. The game will be in its near-final state, with only bugs left to fix. That’s when Rockstar will show us gameplay in its definitive form. #GTA6 D-173

It’s time to accept the fact that we’re not gonna see GTA 6 Trailer 3 until at least late June/early July. Take-Two’s new annual report says “Rockstar released Trailer 1 in December 2023 and Trailer 2 in May 2025, and will share more details this summer.” Strauss Zelnick also said “the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing.” These statements make it clear that a new announcement/Trailer 3 won’t be happening until at least June 21st when summer begins. @GTAVI_Countdown Indeed, they designed the RAGE engine, which is undoubtedly one of the best engines for open-world games. It has been maintained and improved for over 20 years. It’s nearly impossible to compete with Rockstar in this field. #GTA6 J-175

During today’s annual call, Strauss Zelnick said there’s zero evidence anyone can create a GTA 6 competitor just because of advanced technology/AI, and that many have tried including “former Rockstar employees” but so far, no one has been able to create a hit like GTA. He’s obviously referring to the former Rockstar North president, Leslie Benzies who released MindsEye and had a disastrous launch last year.
