I’ve known Simi to be a very gentle and lovable person. She always stays in her lane and minds her own business. She might have handled the whole Mirabel saga wrongly, but that still doesn’t warrant all this bullying from you people online. It’s sad. You all should put yourselves in her shoes, just imagine she’s your family member, your wife, or your aunt. We love you, Simi. You’re still the number one female artiste with the best vocals in Nigeria. Nigerians, I’m begging you all to stop dragging Simi and continue listening to her music. To the ones with Good heart,I want you all to leave whatever you’re doing and pray for simi.

🚨 It was all over the media when the Super Eagles 🇳🇬🦅 bonuses were not paid on time. Now, they have paid the players all the AFCON bonuses, & none of the players can come out and say we have been paid, not even captain Ndidi. The Super Eagles players got an extra 200,000 dollars 💸 after defeating Egypt 🇪🇬 yesterday in Casablanca. This is so sad 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

I wish we could have a society where married women can choose not to have children, and no one judges them or makes them feel irresponsible. It’s her body, let her make her choice in peace.

Seun Kuti can cry all he wants ,that’s his right, that’s his blood. But tears don’t change the truth. It won’t negate the fact that when time begins to blur memories and names turn into echoes, Wizkid’s name will still be sounding around the world. Fela wasn’t the best during his time. His music wasn’t the best of his era. He wasn’t the most famous either. He was a nepo baby who made music and tried to step into his mother’s shoes, but he couldn’t walk even half the distance she did as an activist ( Maad respect still ) Truth is, Fela became more celebrated after his death than while he was alive. Back then, many parents didn’t want their children listening to him or copying his lifestyle. And if we’re being honest, half of his catalog wasn’t even conscious music. Wizkid gives Nigerian kids something to see themselves in; Fela did not. Wizkid stands for hope. For struggle. For victory. For the boy who came from nothing and touched the world with his hands. Yes, We respect Fela. Yes, his legacy lives on. But respect doesn’t mean no one can be surpassed. Someone can honor you and still go further. When it comes to musical legacy, Wizkid has outgrown Fela in the hearts of culture. Long live the idols ,may they never be our rivals!

Fun fact: Victor Osimhen isn’t even close to Viktor Gyokeres in terms of ability or achievements….. I’ll never understand why Osimhen gets ‘world-class’ shouts (especially from Nigerians) while Gyokeres gets disrespected just because he’s still adapting to the EPL.”

Fela never fought politically for any of us. Fela was fighting for himself. He was also a political candidate. Let that sink in.” Fela Kuti’s political party was called Movement of the People (MOP). He formed it in 1979 and used it to contest for the Nigerian presidency during the Second Republic. Fela never made it to the ballot. •Nigeria’s electoral body at the time (FEDECO) disqualified him. Cause he didn’t meet the requirements!

Timfon, I agree that safety works best when communities and the police are aligned, but partnership can not be declared; it has to be earned. People don’t see the police as enemies because they want conflict. They do so because lived experience has taught them caution. Trust is not built by slogans or intentions but by consistent behaviour over time. When citizens comply with the law, they are held individually accountable for misconduct, rightfully so. That same standard must apply institutionally. Saying “one officer doesn’t define the whole force” sounds reasonable, but in reality, systems are judged by what they tolerate, excuse, or fail to correct. When misconduct is met with silence, delayed justice, or internal protection, the issue stops being about one officer and becomes about credibility. In any profession that wields power over life, liberty, and dignity, the margin for error is not abstract. It is human. Security is a shared responsibility, but the burden of proof is not shared equally. The side with authority, weapons, and legal immunity must lead with restraint, transparency, and accountability. Communities already cooperate every day by reporting crimes, obeying laws, paying taxes, and accepting enforcement. What they ask for in return is not perfection but fairness and predictability. Trust grows when people know that an officer will protect them even when it’s inconvenient, respect them even when they have no power, and face consequences even when the badge is involved. When that becomes the norm rather than the exception, partnership won’t need to be requested. It will happen naturally. Real safety is not built by asking people to change how they feel; it’s built by changing the conditions that shaped those feelings in the first place.

In this new year, you have to change certain perceptions about the Police: • You need to start seeing us as partners and not adversaries. • Understand that Security is a shared responsibility • know that trust and cooperation make communities safer • One officer’s misconduct does not define the entire Force Together, let’s build safer communities through understanding, trust, and collaboration. The Police are here to serve and protect.
