A major cheat code in life: Raising the energy of every room you walk in. Stand tall when others shrink. Optimistic when pessimism reigns. Present not distracted. Enthusiasm is rare. Contagious. And a choice. Be the one who elevates everyone else. Let your energy be magnetic.

Note to self: Make people want to work with you instead of looking for quick short term gains and short changing people. This mindset + Credibility (doing what you said you would) is a pretty good way to make a winning system.

Jürgen Klopp changed the way I think about life. Not just football. Life. I love you so much gaffa. It’s not just about how you delivered trophies or turned me from a doubter to a believer. Your optimism and clarity changed how I viewed the challenges in my own life.

Leadership is lonely. Ambition is lonely. Building is lonely. Even if you have a great company or great spouse, a lot of the journey is internal & you're on your own. It's really hard to bear, and people will drop out over time. You have to want it in your core.

The playbook to get ahead in life: 1. Change your limits - when you change limits, you’re going to fail and it’s going feel bad. This is a *good* thing - lean into the discomfort. 2. Surround yourself with really great people - great people push you and inspire you. It’s natural to feel insecure around people ahead of you. This is also a good thing - lean into the insecurity and let it motivate you. 3. Learn how to listen and observe - you have to figure out your own style; but in doing so, incorporate flavor from others, especially where you are not strong. 4. Don’t make excuses - this is the deal breaker for most people. It’s never easy to look within and admit that failure is your fault. Learn to not make excuses and push through any situation. At each level, go through 1-4. Rinse and repeat as you keep climbing.

You'd be stuck in traffic for hours, languished. Suddenly an ambulance will pass, jolting your body and mind. A sinking feeling; you find yourself praying hard for a stranger. Everything else ceases to matter in that brief moment. Bet a lot of us feel this without even realising

I've learned that my day-to-day wellbeing is proportional to the presence of goals I’m pursuing. Some are professional, some personal. Some big, some small. But as long as I've got something to work on, it makes the chaos outside easier to deal with.

Be the biggest fan of the people you care about ... Show them you care. Make them look good. Unconditionally support them. Catch them when they stumble. Remind them of what they do well. Help them accomplish their dreams.
