APPEAL: We are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision between a car and a child on the A38 near Lichfield this morning (7 March). We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or dashcam footage. orlo.uk/p1wo5

We are responding to a serious collision on the A38 that occurred at around 5am this morning. We have had to close the A38 in both directions between the A5148 and A5 junctions. Please avoid the area where possible to reduce traffic disruption.

Following ongoing concerns in regard to HGV's contravening the 7.5 tonne weight limit through #Armitage and Handsacre officers from the Road Crime Team have attended. Enforcement was carried out and drivers spoken to. #VisibleLocalTrusted

On 7th and 8th October officers from Staffordshire Police Road Crime Team seized 4 uninsured vehicles in and around Lichfield. A male was also arrested for drink drive and disqualified driving.

On 27th September Police Officers carried out additional patrols in Lichfield City centre. Whilst in the city centre the officer found a lost phone which they were able to return to the owner.

A prolific 40 year old male shop lifter was arrested by officers from Lichfield shift 3 NPT after he was spotted at the bus station. He will appear at court on 16th August. The male had been committing offences in Lichfield, Rugeley and Cannock.

A male and female were arrested in Lichfield city centre for theft from Superdrug and Boots. The pair were intercepted by officers from the neighbourhood and response teams following a report from CCTV operators. Both are to attend court in August.
