@holthyde_ To be fair, G1 also had their own "core refresh" with lines like School's Out, Picture Day or New Scaremester, it's just that they were never updated in any of the media because the media wasn't the priority

@LifeOrang @SweeetScreams G1 dolls often had recycled accessories. Lagoona's basic shoe was used in Beach Beasties. All the Schools Out dolls were reused in lines like I Heart Fashion. Cleo I Heart Shoes has a Nefera purse. Spectra Picture Day wore an earring from Dot Dead Gorgeous, etc. etc.

Aita if i say bl/otomes have a huge issue with incest/rape because women are conditioned to view that as a normal part of romance and it slips into the media they write/consume. By encouraging it we are only encouraging the patriarchal structures that create it in the 1st place
