It takes incredible propaganda to convince a population that enforcing border policy is 'racist' or 'cruel'. There's basically no country on Earth where you can just waltz in unannounced and stay there indefinitely.

There is apart of yardy culture which does glamourise having many baby fathers yes. Many Rastas smoke week taken from spiritual Hindu leaders influence in Jamaica yes… many Nigerian and Jamaican men are deadbeat dads - just because Nigerian men happen to be in the house - many are not hands on and let the woman do it all - what’s your point

I love my Nigerian people, but even though Caribbean-born and British-born Caribbean people are different, Nigerian culture is still very male-centric. It’s all about “respect him no matter what” ….even if he cheats or disrespects you. But us Caribbean women aren’t sticking around for that nonsense just to please society/save face and make the elders happy. Also, Nigerian men aren’t really into cooking and cleaning as much as Caribbean men. Caribbean men were raised to be hands-on…cooking, cleaning, and pulling their weight. Caribbean women raised their boys not to depend on women, and Caribbean fathers raised us girls not to let any man treat us like fools or control us with money. All cultures have their good and bad btw- this isn’t to say one is better than the other. African men are probably better at being business focussed and career minded 🤷🏽‍♀️

Wrong - why should I have to give a reason as to why I need my property back. Why should I be told who I can have in my property and who I can’t based on finacial viability so now landlords who were very happy to work with the tenants and be understanding will only look after number 1 as the system continues to work against landlords. It will hurt renters more than us

@linmeitalks What’s the issue for good landlords anyway? I see no issue 😂 Only landlords panicking are the ones that know they’ve been greedy, shitty and unfair to their tenants. I see no issues whatsoever with this new RRA, pick decent tenants, be fair and get insurance

Due to the Renters' Rights Act (effective 1 May 2026) It will now be nearly impossible for landlords to request that tenants move out without waiting 4 months. As a result, landlords are likely to become much stricter in their tenant vetting process. Those who may have previously been more open or lenient toward people on benefits, students, single parents, and similar groups might now only want the safest, most secure tenants-such as corporate single workers and high earners 🤷🏽‍♀️. Can you blame them?

@linmeitalks If they have a husband they are legally not single and can’t claim benefits only available to singles. Another lie debunked, Lin.

I love the various cultures you can find in Britain via food music etc But I think British POLICY should not attempt to accommodate every religion culture and race. British policy should be generic and for British people and yes fundamentally the historical natives. If us as ethnic minorities like that policy and culture, then we should come here, abide by it and enjoy it, not ask for special treatment…. “Oh they didn’t have a prayer room, oh they didn’t have a non beef Hindu option, oh they didn’t have an interpreter for my particular language 🙄 If we don’t like Britain because we are Muslim Hindu African Caribbean etc then we should live somewhere which puts “our kind” ie skin colour, tribe, religion, culture first. Britain has become ideologically confusing trying to pander to each new culture arriving here and it needs to stop - the historical guilt & pandering is pathetic. There are now over 300 languages spoken in the U.K. 19 tick box ethnic groups and over 6 religions - is British law and policy supposed to accommodate all… from translators, to dietary requirements, cultural practices etc and if they don’t it is racist xenophobic, prejudice - ITS TOO MUCH Stand on business, be for British natives first and we will stay if we like it or go if we don’t. END OF Britain needs to grow a back bone!

Oh, just legalise the stuff. We are the biggest importer of legal cannabis to countries that have had the sense to realise they can generate huge amounts of revenue from it. Do we not need to raise money ?? Are we not broke as a country? Alcohol is legal and far worse. Never seen or heard of a violent fight or abuse take place as a result of a spliff or two …. Beer on the other hand - lots of domestic violence and anti social behaviour is as a result of alcohol. x.com/CPhilpOfficial…

If I find out anyone I know has close links to paedophiles and they knew they were paedophiles, I’m not looking for any job for them. What are we doing here??? Why are people not disgusted by these people to the point they want nothing to do with them.

And it’s having a negative impact on tenants. Many have been given notice to leave due to the Renters Right Act. Most of which aren’t ready to buy. Every viewing for a new let has over 35 people requesting to view, the council have less temp accommodation stock because they use private rentals too, which will lead to increases in rent due to lack of rental stock. Now many landlords will either air BnB/ only provide license lets. Well done to Labour who have made things worse for renters and the housing crisis.

@linmeitalks Some of your observations are fair, but Caribbean culture isn’t a monolith, just like Africa isn’t. There’s a lot of variation across different islands/country, socioeconomic group and upbringings, so experiences won’t be the same across the board.

@linmeitalks Nigeria is made up off over 500 ethnic groups and languages. Respectfully when you say Nigerian culture you have focused on what you know which is probably about 1 percent to be honest Lin
