Despite the bitter cold, hundreds of students from nearly every MCPS high school are walking out of class this afternoon in protest of what they believe are inadequate COVID-19 mitigation measures in schools.

.@mocoboe voted today to delay a return to in-person learning from Feb. 1 to March 15 on the condition that health metrics are met or guidance is adjusted as a result of vaccine distribution. The Board will meet on Feb. 23 to determine if metrics can be met.

During this present chaos, I would like to highlight the pivot of conversation between @mcpsequityteam and @LoiedermanSGA in response to the current situation in DC. Thank you for guiding us in our journey to become better community members to @LMSARTS and our county at-large.
