Israel’s 🇮🇱 army lifted and detained at least 15 people in the West Bank 🇵🇸 last night. Including children and former detainees who had been released. Israel 🇮🇱 has now taken and detained 7,240 West Bank 🇵🇸 Palestinians in under 5 months. It’s not defence. It is oppression.

Today our kids saw Julian in Belmarsh high security prison. We took this picture outside. On Tuesday the final US extradition hearing begins. We don’t know what happens next. #FreeAssangeNOW

Impossible not to be moved every time you see this. Bournemouth beach as a canvas for grief. The clothes placed in memory of the 12,000 children murdered in Gaza, stretch for 5 kilometres. Biden, Sunak and Starmer are partners in this slaughter.

"Politically, it's strategically incompetent." Barry Gardiner was Labour's Shadow energy and climate change secretary at the time of the last election. He reacts to Sir Keir Starmer's decision to ditch its policy of spending £28bn a year on its Green Prosperity Plan. #R4Today

Here's a gif of Rishi Sunak bursting into laughter when a lady asks him to fix the NHS It would be a shame if people shared this 👀

UDPATE: UK is bombing Yemen tonight, not bothering to have P'ment approve it - and will recall MPs tomorrow to rubber-stamp it. The UK is not at war with Yemen but its government has gone rogue to protect Israel from the economic impact of the shipping interceptions...

Parliament to reconvene to approve UK airstrikes on Yemen. As world unites in horror at Israel's genocide, UK Establishment reaction is to protect Israel and billionaires by attacking country taking action for Palestinians... skwawkbox.org/2024/01/11/par…

London St Pancras International is in chaos. All Eurostar and Southeastern trains this morning cancelled due to flooding in the tunnel beneath the Thames. Many Thameslink services cancelled due to staff shortage. Trying to find out what I can and will report as soon as possible.

This poor child is bombed in south Gaza. She thinks it’s a nightmare, not reality. Southern Gaza was the ‘safe zone’ 50 days ago. This is a genocide and our ‘leaders’ have allowed it to happen. Shame on all.

Another heart wrenching report from UNICEF. There are 1.8 million people in the South of Gaza who are now being bombarded relentlessly by Israel. Not ten minutes last night without bombs being dropped. It’s a genocide.

Joined several hundred thousand voices calling for peace & justice for Palestine in London today. Incredible camaraderie! 🇵🇸✊ Travelled up with Huw Spanner who organises the most inspiring speakers for @BathFoP, and meeting up with NHS hero, @drbobgill. His clarity on the NHS struggle is unparalleled. #SolidarityWithPalestine #Gazagenocide #GazaUnderAttack

Maybe they are sick? Maybe they have a parent dying? Maybe they lost their job? Maybe they are going through a really tough time. The point is, it doesn't matter. A child should not go hungry in the richest country the world has ever known.

It's not much to ask for. I want solid healthcare, some nice roads and infrastructure, world class education, good social services, and a safety net for those less fortunate. You know, all the stuff that we pay taxes for. Not subsidies and tax breaks for the rich.

@BeckettUnite If a cancer patient, for example, needs to make daily trips to hospital for treatment, they can claim the ULEZ charge back. From the hospital, which is already struggling for funds.

You pay double for your gas bills, the corporations make double the profit. They give nurses a £1400 pay rise, then they charge nurses £1300 to park at hospitals. That’s how it works in this rigged society. They are profiteering from us.
