@TraderNoah One time itself is a bad precedent. It’s disgusting because @aave team (@StaniKulechov and gang) themselves are rich enough to cover these losses. Either way Defi is dead. It was already dying when interest rates were below TBill rates.

Seems like a bad precedent that can't be replicated more than a few times. The risk adjusted return on capital that was lost from the exploit was severely negative. Market participants need to understand why risk premiums are applied to risky activity...

@antoniogm That is why no sane country that wants to have a modicum of law & order can allow a laissez-faire crypto system. How do you enforce taxes? How do you enforce child support and alimony? Rogue states like Israel want crypto to thrive because they hate international law & order.

I don’t think crypto’s critics realize it’s a radical attempt at decoupling money and ownership from the state, a revolt on the order of overthrowing the divine right of kings (or in this case seigniorage).

Infact being able to operate in anarchy should be a feature of every crypto company. These companies were skating on thin ice from day 1. No society with law&order can allow laissez-faire system for crypto.
