My son had to have emergency surgery on Saturday night. The NHS was simply magnificent in giving him the care he needed. Happily he is fine and I really cannot thank every single person who looked after him enough. These people are special and we must never forget that.

Today would've been my mum's 85th birthday. She died suddenly from a brain hemorrhage in 1987 at the age of only 50. Here's one of only a few photos I have of her when she was young. This was taken in the early 60's in Cairo.
