Saw this live, have seen the replays over the decades, yet somehow, seeing it now, it's even a worse call then I remembered. It remains one of the worst calls ever to decide a championship in any sport. Wonder if that ref ever regretted that call (or if he bet on Michigan).

Michigan won that title because a referee (his name was John Clougherty) made the worst call in the history of the NCAA Tournament. This is not even debatable.

In the 1989 NCAA Tournament, Glen Rice set the record for most 3 pointers (27) in a tournament, which he held for 30 years until it was broken in 2019.
