All these ‘Faith’ leaders rally to defend the Pope’s politically charged positions. The Silence from the same clergy during the Biden years while millions of unvetted, undocumented illegal immigrates from 170 countries, was Deafening, as child and drug trafficking threatened to destroy our country. Christians are being mudered in Africa. Nothing so much as a peep from these so called leaders.

Yes I’m Catholic and very disappointed with the Church’s actions concerning illegal immigration over the past five years. They have facilitated and encouraged lawlessness via Catholic Charities. When the Vatican changes their immigration laws, then they can lecture everyone about morality. Until then Shut Up.

Disturbing that Catholic clergy continue to double down on illegal immigration policy and its lucrative use by Catholic Charities. All in the name of compassion. How compassionate is it to create a permanent underclass? Where’s the compassion when there is known child sex trafficking?

As a Catholic, I don’t recall the outrage, while the Biden administration allowed hundreds of thousands of unvetted, undocumented immigrants to cross our borders illegally while Catholic Charities took in billions in taxpayer funds during that period. Nor did I recall outrage by the same Catholic clergy for the Biden administration’s abortion support, in direct defiance of Catholic teachings,

The statements made by President Trump on Truth Social regarding the Pope were entirely inappropriate and disrespectful. They don’t contribute at all to a constructive conversation. It is the Pope’s prerogative to articulate Catholic doctrine and the principles that govern the moral life. In regard to the concrete application of those principles, people of good will can and do disagree. I would warmly recommend that serious Catholics within the Trump administration–Secretary Rubio, Vice President Vance, Ambassador Brian Burch, and others–might meet with Vatican officials so that a real dialogue can take place. This is far preferable to the statements on social media. I am very grateful for the many ways that the Trump administration has reached out to Catholics and other people of faith. It has been a high honor to serve on the Religious Liberty Commission. No President in my lifetime has shown a greater dedication to defending our first liberty. All that said, I think the President owes the Pope an apology.

The pope has a one-sided view of current events. No problem criticizing the Trump administration for the current war, but silence about the Iranian government killing 40000 of its own citizens or the killing of thousands of Christians in Africa. That does seem to bother Senator Kelly, but then again Kelly is running for president… I think he’s the only one who thinks he has a chance to win that.

As a Catholic, I find it abhorrent that the President of the United States would publicly attack the Successor of St. Peter. Donald Trump is flailing. His war in Iran has led to the death and injury of American servicemembers and the death of Iranian children. He will attack anyone or anything to try to protect himself, even the Church that millions of Americans find faith and comfort in every day. The American people deserve a president who understands the consequences of his words and takes responsibility for his actions.
