It is with great sadness to inform you that, HMS Caledonia - Commanding Officer and Chief of Staff for the Naval Regional HQ, Scotland and Northern Ireland, Commander Bob Hawkins RN MBE passed away over the weekend. Further details will be provided in due course.

This week we had an incident with a person stuck in the mud, a Coastguard Rescue officer pulled them out and brought them to safety.

Remember the Coast doesn't care how tough you are. Just ask Akinfenwa, he knows that you can easily get stuck in the mud and your strength won't save you. Look out for warning signs. In an emergency call 999 for the Coastguard. #CoastClever #999 Coastguard #Respect the water.

Warton FF’s from @BAESystemsAir have today been qualifying their skills and capability in mud rescue this morning in Lytham, support from @LythamRNLI & @HMCoastguard. This training supports the license of our aerodrome & the safety of aircraft and passengers.
