To alleviate my Olympic withdrawal symptoms I’m going to visit a couple of Olympic cities in Europe before returning to Paris for coverage of the Paralympics. Boarding for London, the first three-time host of the Games, shortly and then making my way to Rome later this week.

I made a cassoulet (entirely from scratch, soaking the beans, homemade stock, etc) for a dinner party last night. It was delicious, but not nearly as good as eating the leftovers by myself tonight.
