The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management was honored to host Albanian President, Bajram Begaj last week. We showcased our EOC and logistics warehouse, highlighting Montgomery County's approach to coordination, preparedness, and response.

All homeowners are encouraged to submit a damage report regardless if assistance is needed or not to help the county identify the scope and scale of the most recent flood event.

• Debris can be placed in a single pile. • The collection of debris will be announced and communicated with the public.

Debris pickup will be available to Montgomery County and City of Conroe residents who sustained damages from the recent floods. • Homeowners seeking debris removal are encouraged to submit a damage report through iSTAT and indicate debris removal for debris to be collected

These ERVs will distribute necessary cleanup supplies to residents who need them. All residents who had damage to their homes are encouraged to report damages through the state iSTAT damage survey. survey123.arcgis.com/share/344d59d3…

The site is planned to be operational over the next several days as residents begin recovery. Additionally, areas that were impacted may see Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicles (ERV) driving the roads.

In coordination with the American Red Cross and Salvation Army, Montgomery County is opening a distribution site for residents who sustained damages from this past weeks flood.

***JANUARY 2024 FLOOD DAMAGE INFORMATION*** Individuals who sustained flood damages from the recent excessive rainfall should report damages to the State ISTAT reporting tool.

Our office remains in contact with the Weather Service and continues to monitor the situation. We are pushing additional information to all of our county wide agencies and local school districts to provide real time situational awareness. Stay weather aware today and be careful.

Remember to turn around don’t drown. Should warnings be issued or if we start to see roadways impacted by flooding we will update as needed.

Status Update from SJRA: The San Jacinto River Authority continues to closely monitor the rainfall in the Lake Conroe Watershed. SJRA operators are on duty, and will remain on duty throughout this weather event to monitor conditions.
