We are going through a lot of changes from last season and I commend the group for their effort and positive mindset. This is not where we want to be, but don't kid yourself, this is a talented group. No pity party here. Dig in and keep putting the work in. @MH_Athletics

Offensively, Liv Mueller opened her 2026 season with a 1st hitting 2-run blast of a HR over the road in LF. She finished with 3 hits today. Amalya L, who hits behind her, had a pair of nice hits, including a 2B. Soph Mueller had a big 2-RBI hit in the last... @MH_Athletics

A 6-5 opening day loss at home to Taconic Hills. Halle & Adalyn Feldman combined to pitch in defeat. Halle struck out 9. We only surrendered a pair of hits. Our defense was excellent, with Lexi G & Liv M contributing multiple nice plays at CF & SS... @MH_Athletics

Hard to believe after waking up to temps in the 20s that we have a home scrimmage today! We welcome out of section Saugerties for a 4:30 PM start. This was a team that made a state playoff run last season. It's a great chance for us to get ready for next week's official start!

Ari was one of the best to do it as a Wildcat. She was a phenomenal hitter and a high effort and positive player and teammate. She, along with her teammates, helped us win two Patroon titles (2015, 2018) and back to back Class C runner-ups (2015-2016). @MH_Athletics

...Papas was consistently the difference for the Gators-always finding a way to put the ball in play and win games with one swing of her bat. With a career slugging percentage of .811, and 66 extra base hits, Ari knew what it meant to step up and put the team on her back.

It appears (based on interest meeting and "word of mouth") that the MH softball program is VERY CLOSE to having the numbers to field modified, JV, & varsity once again this season. 2-5 more players could really seal it. Please share/spread the word! @MapleHill_HS @MH_Athletics

Thanks to @HillBoosterClub for allowing me to attend the World Softball Coaches' Convention in Connecticut this past weekend. I attended some great sessions led by D-1 coaches/players & learned about some great drills/strategies that I can't wait to implement this spring season.
