@freewilllyyyy @Top100Rick BRUH… Like just copy the sound I’m making you don’t have to pretend to read it. Makes me laugh every first tee though, which is probably a good thing

@Top100Rick I might start going by freewilllyyyy so they stop asking about my last name and then still mispronouncing it on the first tee

The Shrink the Game movement is about to have its moment. I never root against anyone, is it okay to root against “Pootycuts”? I don’t want a world where golfers go by their annoying online handles. What is this. But seriously, social media has rotted all our brains. (Yes I see the irony.)

Michael Blocks son Dylan has entered @PGATOURAmericas Q-school under his TikTok name, Pootycuts. Will need video of the first tee announcer saying “Now Driving, Pootycuts”.

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS It's definitely super niche, but I've played soccer and I play golf, and I enjoyed the few times I played foot golf. It's way easier than golf to me.

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS @stevemagness Absolutely correct. Counting goals or not contributes nothing. It doesn't play any role. Norway has a great sporting infrastructure and a lot of parents who spend time for educating children in sports. That's the key to success

The key to Norway's sporting success?
"It takes everything we do in the US and does the opposite. We treat child athletes like budding professionals, prodigies train like the pros they look up to. In Norway, they let kids be kids. We don't keep score before age 12."

@RichardTakai Both are very easy to change if they’re reasonably close to useful. And yes, your lie angle should start the ball where the ball needs to start to end up at your target.

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS For recreational players like the one you described, is it typically easier to fix path or face? And, would you prescribe for some to simply adjust lie angles and alignment and swing their swing?

Here’s what usually happens with this guy trying to “fix” his swing… Currently he’s -3.25 path, face 1° open, ball starts 0 and cuts 25y. Some 0, some 50… it’s golf. He wants more 0’s because they hit fairway. He sets off on a mission to “fix” his swing.
MM🇺🇸@MMGOLFSTUDIOS

Don’t get obsessed with aligning your shoulders, feet, arms, knees, to zero then trying to figure out how to swing. Alignment has always been a backwards first principle. If the center of your driver pattern is consistently 25y right of zero alignment, fucking align 5° left.

Oh boy… if that’s your goal just live near the local university and work while they’re in class. Hell, you can live in off campus housing with them. This is dumb. But no surprise.

@ryanmouquegolf Same. Not the fitting, but same. It’s hard to hit a ball more than full, it’s easy to hit a ball more and less than 3/4.

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS I got fit for some wedge a few years ago and hit 5 full 56 degree wedges Each landed with 0.5y of one another and launched at 29 degrees with the exact same dynamic loft each time I was less consistent with delivery hitting 3/4 shots

@KipHenley But I’m not saying you should switch every day. I’m saying you should find your face and body alignments that allow your current swing (as long as the results are semi consistent) to produce better outcomes.

I understand you came any direction and hit it any direction but the one thing that rubs your tweet is doing the same thing every day. Having your lines all over the place and changing day to day is the biggest reason good players get off IMO. How much are the players shoulders open or shut each day ? Square is ALWAYS square.

@KipHenley Also you can just align 0 to your relative target. If you play a 25y cut off the tee aligned 0 to center of fairway it’s always right rough/trees. Aligned 0 to 25y left is the same as aligning 5° left.

@KipHenley 0 is always 0 3 left is always 3 left You have just as good of a chance aligning 0 regularly as you do -3 Hell, most people can’t even agree on that “parallel left” means

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS I bet the convo went - down wind, jacked up carry on the bunker is 127. 134 hole, 119F and looks like 8 to carry the green on the bunker, so 127 - downwind that’s playing 120-122. I bet that was a really good number for him to hit it hard and eliminate going long.
