Are you mindful? At MPES, our staff makes an effort to share mindfulness with the students. Yesterday, and every day, Mr. Larry, our building head, shares mindfulness activities with students in Mrs. Demme's kindergarten. Everyone loves Mr. Larry!

We held two assemblies this morning to officially kick-off our PBIS effort at MPES! We shared our amazing MPES PBIS video featuring students explaining the 4 Be's, then celebrated the students who received Panda Power tickets this month. Panda Power!

When your Kindergarten students and staff are break dancing together to develop OT PT skills, you know you've got to join in! Cardboard anyone?

Special thanks go to Girl Scout Troop 27 (MPES students pictured here,) and their families for demonstrating the Carmel C's of Compassion and Citizenship by generously donating food items to those in need of support during this holiday season.

During December, students at MPES are focusing on the Habits of Thinking Flexibly and Responding with Wonderment and Awe, as well as the Carmel C of Creativity. Check out some recent creative work done by our students in Mr. Lombardo's Art Class: Awesome!

Every day is pajama day somewhere at MPES. Today, it's Mrs. Zulauf's class reviewing multiplication through Kahoot and engaging in sustained silent reading with flashlights, peaceful music and the comforts of home. This is a fun way to celebrate great work!

We are welcoming the circus this week at MPES. A kindergarten student asked me, "Mr. Keenan, what's the circus?" "You'll see," I replied with a smile. Now she's smiling and laughing. Thanks to the MPES PTO for their support and the staff for being flexible.

The MPES Community has come together to prepare a Traditional Thanksgiving Feast. We are thankful for our teachers, parents (note our local Pilgrim presenter,) kitchen servers, fire safety volunteers, and the entire MPES staff. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

This group of awesome students, Ms. Moran and Mr. Keenan wrapped up the Month's announcements focused on the Carmel 6C of Compassion and the HOM of listening with understanding and empathy. We wish you all a happy and safe Halloween!

Thanks to the Patterson Fire Department for reviewing Fire Safety with all of our MPES students today. They even gave each student a special Fire Safety tote bag!

Another great opportunity for parents and students to share munchkins while shopping for those treasured books at the MPES PTO Book Fair this morning.

Amazing science and delicious ice cream bring big smiles and fun thanks to a great community of parents, teachers, staff and students at Friday night's back to school social at MPES. As always, thanks to the MPES PTO for putting it altogether!
