@MPitcairn We were investigating a potential mechanical issue that has since been resolved. The vessel should be back underway shortly if it is not already. ^cs

@BCFerries My wife is on this vessel and it is currently stopped dead in the middle of the straight. Can you share what exactly the issue is?

@MPitcairn Hi Matt, the 3:15 pm sailing out of Duke Point departed approximately 15 minutes behind schedule and has an estimated time of arrival in Tsawwassen of 5:30 pm. ^cs

@jeromedickey Wow... I missed that. That's definitely another angle to this story.

@TheRichmondNews @TheRichmondNews??? I assume this was discussed in-camera, and then leaked by someone. Can you confirm or deny? If true, is it right for a matter like this to be discussed in-camera? Why not in a transparent matter? #RichmondBC

@TheRichmondNews I am confused. The headline reads the "City of Richmond launches forensic audit into Olympic Oval" yet the article states, "The city did not confirm or deny the audit". Can you explain @TheRichmondNews?

It pains me to say, but if the best team deserves to win, it's the Panthers by a long shot. #EDMvsFLA

@WestcoastWood @MPitcairn @TheRichmondNews I recall being in the audience as Councillor Carol Day as well as McNulty and Steves questioned the Oval including ROX as the majority of council balked at her calls for transparency.

@MPitcairn @TheRichmondNews I *recall* writing circa 14'-16' how Duncan's salary rivalled CoV manager, so I *think* it amounted to some tens of thousands of dollars if I'm guessing - I don't think it was too significant.

@WestcoastWood "In 2014, the Oval, a subsidiary of the city, created a subsidiary company of its own called VROX Sport Simulation Ltd., a Victoria-based company, which is 50 per cent owned by the Oval. It has five directors, four of whom are Oval executives, including Duncan." 2/2

@WestcoastWood So in addition to being the City's CAO, the Ovals CEO, GD was also the director of a private company, which sold technology to the Oval?! 1/2

Former city manager George Duncan earned $345,777 in 2023 as the CEO of the #RichmondBC Olympic Oval Corporation …dont let the name fool you. This is just a big community centre completely backed by taxpayers. richmond-news.com/local-news/for… via @TheRichmondNews

@MPitcairn @TheRichmondNews Can any amount of work justify that salary? Per @theBreakerNews : Ken Cretney led B.C. Pavilion Corp. (PavCo), the manager of B.C. Place Stadium and Vancouver Convention Centre, to a $3.5 million deficit on $169.24 million in revenues. Cretney’s total compensation was $418,675.
