MS escapee Ryan Young, 28, was captured today in Texas. Authorities had been searching for Young since Wednesday when he escaped after being taken to Meridan for a court hearing.

26 female inmates received their “White Coats” & certificates Friday upon completing the first such re-entry program at the MDOC Community Work Center in Flowood. The program grew out of Commissioner Cain's desire to link hospitals w/ workers & parolees needing high-paying jobs.

CAPTURED State inmate Shunekndrick Huffman was back in custody w/in hours after he was discovered missing from Central Mississippi Correctional Facility on Thursday afternoon. He was captured in a dumpster near the prison. He is serving a 7-year sentence for aggravated assault.
