My participation in the Arab Ministerial Meeting provided an opportunity to emphasize that the current phase requires the highest levels of Arab coordination and solidarity, and to reaffirm that safeguarding the stability of the region and addressing common challenges remain a collective responsibility. I also reiterated Mauritania’s firm rejection and condemnation of any threats targeting the security and sovereignty of Arab states, and that the security of sisterly countries is an integral part of our national security.

مشاركتي في الاجتماع الوزاري العربي شكلت مناسبة لي، للتأكيد على أن المرحلة الراهنة تتطلب أعلى درجات التنسيق والتكاتف العربي، وللتذكير أن صون استقرار المنطقة ومواجهة التحديات المشتركة يظلان مسؤولية جماعية. وجددتُ خلالها رفض موريتانيا القاطع وإدانتها لأي تهديدات تستهدف أمن وسيادة الدول العربية، وأن أمن الدول الشقيقة جزءًا لا يتجزأ من الأمن القومي.

I was pleased to participate today, remotely, in the proceedings of the 165th Ordinary Session of the Ministerial Council of the League of Arab States. During the session, we discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly those related to the attacks that targeted the sovereignty of a number of Arab states, in addition to organizational matters, including the nomination of a new Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.

سعدت اليوم بالمشاركة عن بُعد، في أعمال الدورة العادية (165) للمجلس الوزاري لجامعة الدول العربية. حيث ناقشنا مستجدات الأوضاع في المنطقة، خاصة المتعلق منها بالاعتداءات التي استهدفت سيادة عدد من الدول العربية، إلى جانب قضايا تنظيمية من بينها ترشيح أمين عام جديد للجامعة العربية.

At the 11th Summit of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, I emphasized the need to transition the Organization from an aid-based model to one grounded in economic sovereignty, integration, and effective solidarity, in a manner that strengthens its ability to contribute to shaping a more balanced and equitable international order. On behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, I reaffirmed Mauritania’s commitment to working with its partners to ensure the success of this Summit and to further develop the Organization’s mechanisms in a way that serves the interests of its peoples and advances sustainable development pathways.

أكدتُ خلال القمة 11 لمنظمة دول إفريقيا والكاريبي والمحيط الهادئ على ضرورة الانتقال بالمنظمة من نموذج قائم على المساعدات إلى نموذج يرتكز على السيادة الاقتصادية والتكامل والتضامن الفعّال، بما يعزز قدرتها على الإسهام في تشكيل نظام دولي أكثر توازنًا وإنصافًا. وجددتُ باسم صاحب الفخامة رئيس الجمهورية محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني التزام موريتانيا بالعمل مع شركائها من أجل إنجاح هذه القمة، وتطوير آليات عمل المنظمة بما يخدم مصالح شعوبها ويعزز مسارات التنمية المستدامة.

Today, my participation in the 11th Summit of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, held in the city of Malabo, provided me with the opportunity to emphasize that South–South cooperation is no longer a complementary option in light of rapid transformations and growing challenges; rather, it has become a strategic lever, particularly given the potential and resources enjoyed by the member countries of the Organization.

أتاحت لي فرصة المشاركة بمدينة مالابو في القمة 11 لمنظمة دول افريقيا والكاريبي والمحيط الهادئ، الإشارة إلى أن التعاون بين بلدان الجنوب لم يعد خيارا تكميليا في ظل التحولات المتسارعة والتحديات المتزايدة؛ بل أصبح رافعة استيراتيجية، خاصة في ظل المقومات والمؤهلات التي تنعم بها البلدان المشكلة للمنظمة.

Today, I had the honour to participate in the 11th Summit of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, held in the city of Malabo in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea. I was privileged to represent our country on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, and to convey his greetings to the leaders and representatives of the governments of the Organization, as well as his commitment to strengthening cooperation with them and his support for their efforts.

تشرفت صباح اليوم بالمشاركة في القمة 11 لمنظمة دول إفريقيا والكاريبي والمحيط الهادي، المنعقدة في مدينة مالابو بجمهورية غينيا الاستوائية. حيث كانت لي حظوة تمثيل بلادنا نيابة عن صاحب الفخامة رئيس الجمهورية السيد محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني ونقل تحياته للقادة وممثلي الحكومات المنضوية في المنظمة، وحرصه على مشاركتهم ودعمه ومسانتده لجهودهم.

Today, I had the pleasure of receiving H.E. Mr. Emmanuel BESNIER, Ambassador of the French Republic to our country, at my office at the Ministry. Our discussions provided an excellent opportunity to reaffirm the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between our two countries, and to explore avenues for further strengthening our partnership in support of our shared interests. We also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Aujourd’hui, j’ai eu l’honneur et le plaisir de recevoir SEM Emmanuel BESNIER, ambassadeur de Franc 🇫🇷 accrédité auprès de notre pays 🇲🇷. Nous avons magnifié l’excellence de notre coopération bilatérale, et salué le caractère stratégique de notre partenariat. La rencontre aura permis aussi le contexte international troublé et ses implications actuelles mais surtout, à long terme, sur la paix dans le monde. Nous avons constaté la convergence de nos points de vue sur la nécessité de préserver la paix et la stabilité.

اليوم، تشرفتُ باستقبال سعادة السيد إيمانويل بيسنييه، سفير الجمهورية الفرنسية لدى بلادنا، في مكتبي بالوزارة. وقد شكّل اللقاء مناسبةً لاستعراض علاقات الصداقة والتعاون العريقة والمثمرة التي تجمع بلدينا، وبحث سبل تعزيزها والارتقاء بها بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة. كما تناولت المباحثات عدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

Today, I was pleased to receive H.E. Mr. Guy Harrison, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to our country, at my office at the Ministry. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the distinguished friendship between our two countries and the prospects for fruitful cooperation, and to discuss ways to further strengthen and advance our partnership in support of our shared interests.

سعدتُ اليوم باستقبال سعادة السيد غاي هاريسون، سفير المملكة المتحدة لدى بلادنا، وذلك بمكتبي في الوزارة. وقد شكّل اللقاء فرصة لاستعراض علاقات الصداقة المتميزة وآفاق التعاون المثمر بين بلدينا، وبحث سبل تعزيزها وتطويرها بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة.

Today, I held talks in my office with H.E. Mr. Aymen Saïd, Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria accredited to our country. During the meeting, we discussed the existing relations of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, as well as ways to strengthen and further develop them in the interest of the two brotherly peoples. We also reviewed recent developments and issues of mutual interest at both the regional and international levels.

أجريت مساء اليوم بالمكتب، مباحثات مع سعادة السيد أيمن صيد، سفير الجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية المعتمد لدى بلادنا. حيث تناولنا علاقات التعاون القائم بين الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية والجمهورية الجزائرية الديمقراطية الشعبية، وسبل تعزيزها وآليات تطويرها خدمة للمصالح المشتركة للشعبين الشقيقين. و استعرضنا المستجدات والقضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي.

During the meeting, we reviewed the existing cooperation relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the State of Kuwait and discussed ways to further strengthen and develop them in a manner that serves the common interests of our two brotherly countries. We also exchanged views on recent developments and a number of issues of mutual interest.

استقبلت مساء اليوم بالمكتب، سعادة السيد ابداح مقعد الدوسري، سفير دولة الكويت الشقيقة المعتمد لدى بلادنا. استعرضنا خلال اللقاء علاقات التعاون القائمة بين الجمهورية الإسلامية الموريتانية ودولة الكويت، وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة للبلدين الشقيقين. كما تبادلنا وجهات النظر حول المستجدات وعدد من القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

Our meeting provided an opportunity to review the existing cooperation relations between the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the United Arab Emirates, and to discuss ways to strengthen and further develop them in a manner that serves the shared interests of our two brotherly countries. We also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
