Babu Owino Give Us the Way Forward. I have already shared my thoughts on the recent move by Oga Obinna taking the boxers to State House, and to be honest, I am not comfortable with it. To me, it feels like giving credit to President William Ruto for work he did not put in. The reality is simple. The real effort, the real hustle, and the real push to uplift these young boxing talents came from Oga Obinna. He stepped in where systems had failed. He mobilized support, created visibility, and gave these fighters a platform when no one in power seemed to care. Now, by taking that same initiative to State House, the narrative risks being shifted. Ruto will step in, dish out millions, and suddenly appear as the hero. Yet the groundwork, the sacrifice, and the belief in these talents did not start with him. This is exactly where the concern lies. Kenya has a long history of leaders taking credit for grassroots efforts once they gain traction. It discourages genuine initiative and sends the wrong message to young people trying to create change from the ground up. That is why I am calling upon our party leader, Babu Owino, to give direction on this matter. You were present at Vurugu Live. You showed support for Oga Obinna and the boxing initiative. You understand the importance of protecting authenticity and ensuring that credit goes where it truly belongs. As supporters and followers, we are looking up to you for leadership. How should we handle such situations moving forward? How do we protect grassroots initiatives from being politically appropriated? How do we ensure that those who genuinely support talent are not overshadowed by those who step in at the final moment? This is bigger than boxing. It is about integrity, recognition, and the future of youth empowerment in this country. The way forward must be clear. And that clarity must come from leaders who stand with the people.
