.@TexasLonghorns Big Ticket sales have surged from 16,890 in 2021 to 22,789 in 2025, while the student sector grew by less than 1,000 seats, leaving many students competing for limited spots each week despite paying for a season pass. The Big Ticket price has also climbed from $175 to $250 over those four years, with an optional Longhorn Foundation membership adding another $130. thedailytexan.com/2026/04/20/big…

AUSTIN MAN who fatally stabbed 19-year-old UT freshman Harrison Brown in broad daylight outside Gregory Gym may soon walk free. In 2017, Kendrex White randomly slashed four students with a hunting knife, killing Harrison and injuring three others. A year later, a judge found him not guilty by reason of insanity after doctors testified he suffered from schizoaffective disorder and believed he was Jesus. He’s been confined to a state hospital ever since. Now, eight years later, a Travis County judge will decide if White can leave inpatient care and live in the community under “outpatient services.” Harrison’s mother, Lori, who still keeps his backpack and handwritten list of life goals, calls the possibility “terrifying.” “I could come face to face on the street with my son’s killer,” she said. If the court approves it, White will never face a jury for the murder — and the man who brought a campus to its knees could be back on Austin’s streets.
