Thinking about how Mai and Zuko decide to only have one child, Izumi. Zuko grew up seeing how his father pitted him against Azula and wanted to avoid toxic sibling rivalry. Mai saw how love was conditional and children were used as political pawns. They loved Izumi so much.

I know not everyone regards the comics as a continuation of the work that Avatar Studios does, but trust me, they are. All the material is directly overseen with input from Bryan and Mike, the co creators of Avatar. That’s where the stories will continue outside of the movies.

the newest atla comic is coming out soon! it focuses on suki and the kyoshi warrios in a trilogy comic, each which is 32 pages long! part 1 comes out in may, the other two come out in june & july. the whole volume comes out in november! support suki as much as u can! 💚🪭
